The General Authority for Real Estate announces the launch of the service of preserving the security deposit through rent

The General Authority for Real Estate announced the launch of the “Save the Security Amount” service through “Ejar”, a service through which the security amount (insurance) is saved with “Ejar” to compensate the property owner for any damages that may occur to the property during the tenant’s use of the rental unit.

The Authority explained that this service comes as one of the requirements of the Real Estate Brokerage System and its executive regulations, which stipulate that the security amount be saved with the Authority or whoever it authorizes, until the property is re-delivered without damage, so that the security amount is saved with “Ejar” as a third party between the landlord and the tenant, when the real estate broker registers the contract in Ejar, and after the expiry or cancellation of the contract, the unit delivery form agreed upon by both parties is relied upon, so that the amount reserved as a security on the unit or part of it is automatically transferred to the landlord as compensation, or returned
to the tenant, as an available balance in the electronic wallet of one of them.

The Authority confirmed that the service aims to regulate the relationship between the parties to the rental process as it is based on the receipt and delivery forms available on the Sakani platform; to reduce the possibility of dispute between the two parties regarding the condition of the unit upon receipt and after delivery.

It is worth noting that this service is one of the innovative real estate services that resulted from the real estate brokerage system, and contributes to raising the quality of real estate transactions, serving real estate brokers and beneficiaries, sustaining real estate assets, reducing real estate disputes, and preserving the rights of clients.
